Dr. Jae Young Chung is an Associate Professor in Department of Education at Ewha Womans University. Also, he has been an Associate Director for Institute of School Violence Prevention at Ewha Womans University since 2012. Dr. Chung holds a Ph.D. from Seoul National University majored in Educational Policy. He served as a Senior Deputy Director at Korean Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MEST) from 2003 to 2012. He planned and managed not only Korean elementary and secondary school systems in School Systems Planning Division but also ‘Future Education Forum’ and ‘Learning Society Vision 2030 Project’. He published books, articles and journals with regard to education, school violence prevention and school system. Dr. Chung developed several school violence prevention programs for students, teachers, and parents. He was the contributing author to ‘Supervision and Instructional Leadership (2016),’ ‘School Bullying and Violence Prevention (2014)’, ‘A Research Handbook of Educational Administration (2013)’ and so on. He published 46 articles in referred journals, such as ‘An Analysis of Teacher’s Demands for the National Plan for Field-Oriented School Violence Eradication (2016)’, ‘An analysis of factors affecting delinquency in middle school students (2016)’, and so on.
