Jung Duk Ohn studied at Ewha Womans University for her bachelor and master degree and then went to the University of Iowa, US and earned her PhD in curriculum and instruction. In 2007, she moved to Harrisonburg, Virginia and taught at James Madison University for five years as an assistant professor. She came back to Korea in 2012 and is now teaching at Gyeongin National University of Education. Her research interests include curriculum design, interdisciplinary integration, and competency-based education. She was involve in the process of developing the 2015 revised national curriculum and has been helping teachers enhance their teaching practices. Also, she has been participating in various professional communities such as the Korean Society for Curriculum Studies and the Korean Society for the Study of Elementary Education.
